I am very excited to announce that on Friday 23rd June we will be adding a new Ashburton Dojo. It is located at 413 High Street, Ashburton. That Dojo is currently operating as Australian Goju Karate, but it will officially become a Beginner to Black Belt Goju Karate Dojo. All Balwyn North and PLC students are welcome to be training at Ashburton from this Friday. All Ashburton students can continue to train at their normal times. Ashburton students are also welcome to be training at the Balwyn North Dojo. All existing memberships at Ashburton will be honoured and you will remain on your existing belts. We will aim to make the transition as smooth as possible, but please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be contacted at beginnertoblackbelt@gmail.com or by phone or SMS on 0411-877-214. I do have plans to add a few clases to the timetable, but for the time being nothing will change. The timetable at Ashburton remains as follows:

Monday

4:15pm-4:50pm – Mighty Mites (4 & 5 year olds)

5:00pm-5:50pm – Juniors-White & Gold Belts

This is a very exciting development for our club and I am very enthusiastic about the years ahead. Some renovations and signage changes will be completed at Ashburton during the school holidays and the first week of Term 3, but I don't foresee any changes to the class schedule during this time. It may mean that many of the classes will be held upstairs during the holidays. I am planning on being at Ashburton for the whole of the last week of this term to introduce myself to all the students and to answer any of their questions. Sensei Steven and the Sempais will be taking care of the Balwyn North classes. I very much look forward to meeting all the Ashburton students soon.
