This year’s National Karate Championships will be held in Adelaide from Friday 11th July to Sunday 13th July and our club will be fielding its strongest contingent ever. We have some truly world class athletes who have been selected to represent Victoria at the pinnacle of Karate competition in Australia. Our Kata representatives will be Zane Saavedra, Zachary Teh, Zara Teh, Allie Cafiero, Andrej Arsoski, Erica Lo, Rebecca Wibowo, Emma Lo, Ramon Tang and Lillian Ross. Silvia Mullavey and Levi Capogreco were also selected to represent Victoria, but are both sadly unable to attend the tournament. Our Kumite representatives will be Julian Keenan, Archer Doolan, Max Ha-Cooke and Arthur Pang. There will also be some of our friends from Shotokan who train with us regularly representing the state as well.

Every one of them will be making their opponents screw up their faces in disappointment when they see that they have to come up against these remarkable athletes. They are all very much in contention for a medal and we wish them the absolute best of luck in the absolute hardest competition in the country.
